Damp Proofing

Inspection of roof terrace/ bathroom/ walls

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.40 PM

I have just bought a Victorian converted flat and need to get refurbishment works started where the bathroom grouting has led to dampness on the floors below. Secondly the roof terrace next to the bathroom also seems to have some water log so would like to check areas which could have water getting in. I am currently not sure the extent of works that are required so would really like to get a sense of what I am looking at.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You have to contact a registered damp proofer and let them come round and look at the problem. We can’t guess over a write up of your problem. Good luck

your best bet would be, to get the bathroom removed as part of your refurbishment, then get in a damp expert in to look at the floor and its supports to survey the potential damage, with regards to the roof terrace i would probably get a roofer in to look at any damage that may have been done.
