Tyrolean exterior wall

Can I Tyrolean an exterior wall that has been painted without removing all paint and render.

Score the wall up first with a small angle grinder to give it a key then coat it with unibond

Score the wall up with a little angel grinder then use a exterior render grit or tanking slurry as pva is a product for internal use

You would be better coating the wall with HP12 from K-Rend to a smooth Finnish as this stuff adheres to paint. Then prime when dry to apply your tyro lean.

Key wall with angle grinder but coat with a plastering Stabilising Primer not unibond to help give it a better key
