Diluation of sandtex for misting coat

What is the diluation rate with water to sandtex for a misting coat on new plaster

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If painting new render then your looking at around 20% water, this allows the first coat to slightly penetrate the surface which will give better adhesion for your next coats. I suggest a mist coat with 20%-25% water followed by a another coat with around 10% water then a full coat on top. Remember, white may need another as it’s not as solid as other colours.

I hope as in the other answer, your question refers to priming new render and not as is actually stated, mist coating new plaster.

Brush down the render dilute first coat by 20% then apply 2 further coats undiluted .
