Moving washing machine- installing pipes through concrete floor

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.56 PM

I'm looking to move my washer/ dryer from it's current position in the kitchen, to the hallway cupboard- a distance of probably around 5m, and so move the pipe work accordingly. The problem is the entire flat is a concrete floor, with laminate over the top. I've had differing opinions on whether I can actually do this given the concrete floor, and how time consuming it would be. The concern seems to be that if there was a problem with the pipework, it would be very difficult to fix, as it would be under the concrete. The washing machine is currently right next to an external wall, so the pipework would have to travel an extra 5m (ish). Help! Thanks

Difficult without looking at the plan layout, you need to reask the question and provide a plan, I would need to know if the cupboard was on the same side of the kitchen or the opposite side of the hallway? Etc. You can get coiled flexible waste pipes that you can join together with couplers and jubilee clips you can also get flexible plastic piping for the cold feed and feed these through the kitchen cupboards. I wouldn't personally entertain moving the laminate and cutting chases in the floor. Resubmit with the plan layout
