footings for 4x4x3 shed

Hi What is the depth,width and thickness required for? single block work and a double block work Have not decided which one to do yet! on solid clay many thanks

allow the concrete to be at least 150mm thick and project 100mm past either side of the blocks this will easily carry the load of the wall and shed. so 100mm block would need a 300mmm width footing and so on

to be totally honest with you , you should have a soil report carried out by a structural engineer, or at least have the foundation inspected by building control from your local authority. Clay is prone to shrink in dry weather and heave in wet weather so either a wide foundation or a reinforced concrete raft should be designed.
