Unusual toilet - blind holes at the back vertically above the pan.
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.41 PM
Just moved in. I have an unusual toilet, the holes for the seat are at the back vertically above the pan and are blind. It looks like it wasn't fitted correctly originally as there is a lot of play between the porcelain and brackets. I've tried tightening them but it seems they are already fully tightened. Need a solution, either to add some kind of buffer or replace with new.

To get a plumber to look at it or try to fix it, it will cost you just as much as you replace it with a new one. So I think you should just replace it and put your mind into rest. Thanks

I would suggest to get a professional to take a look. It may be a simple fix, such that the brackets are on backwards or upside down. Any reputable company will be willing to provide a no obligation quote. As a last resort, you can always get a new toilet installed with the subsequent manufacturer guarantees.
