Unable to tune in a DVD player into an internet router via a LAN cable.

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.43 PM

As above. I'm sure it's easy to someone who knows how to do this. But I have repeatedly tried it & failed so am happily handing it over to an expert. Sky broadband works perfectly, LAN cable is brand new, as is DVD player. Confused as to why it won't auto tune on Easy settings. Anyone fancy giving it a go?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hiya, Are you able to provide more info.? How do you mean, you can't tune a DVD player into the hub.? Do you mean you're plugging the dvd player in with an ethernet cable to access things like YouTube.? Chris

I'm unsure what you are trying to achieve but if you are trying to tune your DVD player into freeview or sky tv channels this is not possible through the internet. Perhaps you can provide some more information

I would recommend looking at the DVD trouble shooting instructions or seeing if there's a technical phone number you can call for help. Another option would be to put the DVD model details in to you tube to see if someone's done a help video. Unfortunately this is more of an IT issue rather than for an electrician to fix.
