Kitchen Fitting

Integrated washing machine door height.

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.43 PM

My washing machine (hoover) is approx 35mm below the worktops. The door template for drilling is set to align the door with the top of the washing machine. I not entirely comfortable with offsetting template by 35mm. Any other suggestions ? I was thinking of perhaps some sort of hroght adjistable hinges or some sort of thin hinge arrangement which fits to the end oanel bit no luck sourcing. -------------- Thanks for the helpful replies. In the end I adjusted the machine to half height adjusted the template accordingly deilled the hinge holes and fitted. Little bit of adjustment to the machine height and left right on the hinges and everything lines up nicely. Of course it took me about 4 hours though .... Once again, thanks.

The first option is to move the template to the correct height so your aligns with the rest of the units if you uncomfortable doing that you can use solid pieces of timber front and back for your machine to sit on raising the appliance to the suitable height required for the template

The usual way is to redrill the door holes to align with the hinges at the right height. The correct drill bit can be found at most suppliers, the other way is to adjust the height of the machine as much as is possible on its legs, or you can purchase purpose made stands on such as amazon etc. If you're are not comfortable doing this yourself then acquire a tradesman services.
