What category do I need for this job posting? Moving a load-bearing post to integrate it into stairs

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.24 PM

I need a support post moving to integrate it into the staircase next to it. It will require joinery work to reconfigure the 1st floor joists that are supported by the post. What category of work would this come under on this website? who would create the concrete footing for the new post? The joiner? also need a 1st floor bathroom supporting below with some kind of structure (presumably by ground floor studwork (posts I guess rather than stud wall as the ‘wall’ is only short and consists almost entirely of 2 openings with ~10cm wall segments between them which would need to handle all the load. The work is almost entirely joinery as I’ll then need the subflooring of the bathroom making more ridid and studwalls creating. Will need a bit of brickwork doing as a small length of the support for the bathroom will be by the bit of wall that defines the small inset porch, and the top few layers of this are just loose bricks not even mortared in… Thanks very much!
