How to remove cemented patio slabs to replace with grass
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.24 PM
I'm looking to remove one single row of the patio slabs that are cemented well to then replace them with some turf to increase the turf area. My question is how do I remove the slabs as I've tried lifting them with a shovel with no success. Also how do o remove the cement underneath without cause the crack to travel to the cement under the other slabs that dont require removing. And also can I then place real turn on the area? Many thanks.

You have to remove the slabs and dig about 100mm to add topsoil and after put the grass on top.

Cut down the joint along the flag line With a Stihl saw and try lifting the flags out using a pick axe, if the concrete is too thick you may need a breaker
