Low pressure downstairs and high pressure upstairs
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.24 PM
Hi, My kitchen sink tap has much lower pressure than my bathroom taps. My bathroom taps are like a jet wash but my sink tap is really slow and when I turn any other tap on the kitchen tap has very very little water flowing.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Check the isolation valve (if their is one) hasn’t been turned too nearly the off position. Older taps sometimes have a check valve underneath them, brass colour about an inch long underneath them on the pipework. Also you may have sediment stuck in the filter/strainer

Best to call a plumber to see if they can do a tap valve change ( saves replacement of full tap)
If that doesn't work the pipes need investigation.
Useful points for posting further questions.
Explain what type of system you have gravity or pressure.
If it's just hot or cold or both.
If the tap has recently been fitted etc etc.
The more information you provide the better the answer you will get and you can always upload videos and photos of the problems.
