The cut tiles for the sides of the velux window should be at least 1/2 an inch to an inch away for the window frame itself the flashing kit for the window should have raised parts on the sides for the tiles to go up to hope this helps

Hi
It’s possible that the lugs on the side of the tiles have been left on which will rise up on the metal trims. The tiles should be cut back to the first raised ridge on the flashing to allow water get away as you can get a build up of moss.

This sounds correct!. Velux supply different flashings for different tiles. There usually is a gap of say 25mm down the sides and the head. Large pan tiles can raise slightly as there is foam underneath to help with weather tightness. But tiles should sit snuggly on each other. Hope this helps?

Morning around the velux flashing kit is a raised snow guard which is foam , the tiles are then cut to the weather bar at the side of the window ,all tiles around window should have inside nib of tile knocked off to help prevent tiles kicking up but saying that there will be a slight kick to tiles due to flashing kit this is normal
Thanks mark

Yes knock the inside nib off and the tile should be cut about a inc back from the window itself
