How to choose new basin pillar two pair taps

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.39 PM

I need to replace my bathroom basin taps (two hole basin). Can I choose any pair of basin taps? Or do I need to take measurements of my current taps? If so, what things do I need to measure? What else do I need to do first before choosing the right taps?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You dont need to measure the taps. However you do need to know what type of system you have weather it a low pressure or mains pressure for your hot and cold water.

You get high and low pressure systems the tap will state which system it’s compatible with. Check spout reach, dimensions will be on product(measure from tap body and see where water will reach) just gives a you feel if the tsp is the right size for basin ideally it should reach to roughly the drain plug.
