Wardrobe hinges

Hi, I can understand you problem, but the fixings are not clear. I would guess these are concealed hinges (Kitchen type). Some types of these hinge screw into a dowel. A plastic insert that would be larger than the screw. If increasing the screw gauge is possible, sometimes a flanged pan head No 8 size may do the trick. Without seeing the hinge though, you may find in difficult to swap it for an alternative hinge with soft close options. It is however possible to have surface mounted door dampness, that will soften the close. Try Blum Expando hinge plates (with Blum softclose hinges) Maybe order a few from Ironmongery direct and see if one works. They do free returns if not (only on unopened packs of course). Holes in cabinets are set back 37mm from the front edge of the carcass, and 32mm apart, if your holes are set out like that then the Blum hinges are likely to work.
