Conservatory Roof Replacement
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.55 PM
Hi all, I've just moved into a home that has a shallow lean-to polycarbonate roof. I'm looking to replace it with a something where I can't hear the rain, so that it can be used as a room to escape to for sleep, when my newborn arrives in November. I've had a few contractors out for a quote and I've had EPDM rubber and composite roof tiles recommended to me. They'd clad and insulate underneath and I wouldn't put windows in either, which doesn't hugely bother me, as I think I'd prefer it not being too bright. Has anyone got experience with EPDM and/or composite tiles and do they stop most of the rain noise? Would you recommend one over the other? As I've had a quote for the composite roof tiles at a similar price to the EPDM rubber and can't help thinking the composite tiled roof looks a lot nicer. Thanks, Jon
