Who do I get to fix a subfloor

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.55 PM

Basically I’d like to know who to approach about my subfloor issues. When my kitchen was done (about 5 years ago) three separate areas where merged, the builders left the original concrete in some areas and then used timber for the other areas. The laminate is now bowed, warped and not in good shape in areas where the timber was used but fine in areas where original concrete was used. Basically do I approach flooring contractors or builders to remedy the problem?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It sounds like your subfloor underneath isn’t properly supported on stud walls maybe not even coach bolted together the floor needs to come up and to expose what’s going on underneath it so that it can be rectified as a flooring contractor I can do this but also a good builder could to hope that answers your question

I would say use flooring contractor as they know about sub floors and how it needs to be before you can fit over it
