new install of water storage cylinder

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.41 PM

I'm planning a ground floor extension. Just me thinking...that I will require a unvented hot water storage cylinder (2 bathrooms, 1 wc), which will be installed in the kitchen (only option). Can someone please help me understand how this will be installed given there will be new plastering, decorating, floor tiling, etc and will be concealed in a kitchen cabinet. To have this area (wall and floor) around the storage cylinder unfinished would not be great, given that I am going for an high end finish. Thanks in advance for your answers.

There's no end of boiler people about and good plumbers... I'd suggest start by contacting local boiler installation people and asking for a quote. Most will do this for free and be happy to have a look at the situation onsite and you can ask them everything you want to know. Once the installation is complete, any finishing can be done by any number of handymen/builders, etc. If you ask, the boiler company, they might have a person who deals with this finishing aspect. Don't be afraid to shop around and see if you can get a few quotes and see who will offer the best price with and without the finishing off and then post a job on here, with some photos of what you want doing and I am sure that someone will be happy to help.

Hi would a combi with a higher flow rate for hot water be better for you? Also saving a lot more space. You can also buy combi boilers with a small 10-15ltr hot water storage. Vaillant offer a couple Of options.
