Do I need a platform for a rear flush toilet in a basement property?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.41 PM

https://imgur.com/X3MVWoJ There's an existing waste pipe (bottom left) from a toilet that's no longer in place in the adjoining room, could I reconfigure it to install a rear flush toilet with its back to the boiler? How much of a drop would I need? Thanks for any info!

If it is a wall hung toilet then the frame can be adjusted and the toilet could be installed slightly high then usual to ensure a good fall. But it does look like it’s low enough already, a normal toilet will have the connection at 150mm above the floor to the centre of waste, so as long as the waste pipe is currently lower than that then it’s possible.
