rear outlet toilet in basement - do I need to build a platform?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.41 PM

Hello, I'm looking to install a second toilet to my boiler room, space is tight and I'm in the basement but after reconfiguring the existing toilet in the room next door I have what looks like a "spare" waste pipe (the large pipe in the bottom left) Could I theoretically remove most of this fit a rear outlet toilet to the piece at the base of the far wall leading to the waste outside? (toilet facing toward camera with its back near the boiler on the rear wall? How much of a drop is needed? I'm seeing some rear outlet type toilets that seem narrower and higher than standard ones and was wondering if these would be an option. I'd rather avoid a powered saniflo-style solution if possible, the question is, are there toilets with enough of a gravity drop for a floor mounted solution like this? Thanks for any advice!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
