Moving soil pipe
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.41 PM
I'm looking at purchasing property and need to know it it is possible to move the soil pipe.. The property is an extended terrace, bathroom is upstairs but the toilet soil pipe comes down through the kitchen..it is boxed in, but I want it to be entirely outside to gain space in the kitchen.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

it is possible to move but will involve excavating the drain to do so.

Escavation work would be needed to tap into the main waste drain and once reached you would be able to channel from your bathroom core to the outer wall and connect to the drain. Lot of work but can be done subject to checks.

It is possible to move. You could have your soil pipe coming out of a wall leading to outside but then you would have to dig to connect new drainage to the existing mains chambers. Fit a new svp externally and also a new inspection chamber (possibly more depending on run)

All is possible, when ££££ meets good old fashioned hard work. - As D & R Property has kindly suggested above.
