Would you tile around a wall mounted fire or tile first then mount the fire

Tiling living room wall with brick effect tiles. Would I tile from ceiling to floor then mount the fire or would I mount the fire then tile around it?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I’d start bottom to top and place the fire where you want it and cut around it as if you do tile it and have to cut out after could Break other tiles

Tile first then mount fire
Far better look and finish
GW.
Assume wall mounted fire is Electric.
If it’s Gas then there would be an aperture to Tile to.

I would tile the wall first then fit the fire it will look so much neater and if you ever decide to remove the fire your then not having to try and find tiles to fill the gap... also with a decent adhesive bed behind the tile and your using a diamond tipped drill bit masking where you want the holes etc to lesson the chance of the bit slipping, you shouldn't damage or break any other tiles patience and prep is key.

Tile first. In case you ever replace the fire. It could be a different shape or size... the last thing you want is a cut around shape or different size that cznt be filled.... remember nothing lasts forever.
