Flushing pipes before new tap installation
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.55 PM
Our new monobloc tap started dripping shortly after installation. We couldn't remove the valve to replace it, so wrote to the manufacturer, who then sent a like-for-like replacement tap. They advised that the water supply pipes should be thoroughly flushed through at the time of installation to avoid a repetition of the issue. My (very basic) question is: what does flushing the pipes thoroughly actually entail? Is this just running plenty of water through them (presumably into a bucket?) before installing the tap? Any advice would be gratefully received!
