How to remove staining to grey concrete Copings
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.55 PM
Hi guys. I cant seem to post any photos but I've installed some once weathered grey concrete Copings. However, they seem to have a white staining to them, almost like a water pooling mark (if that makes sense). Ive tried to use the karcher to remove with no joy. I've even tried a bit of fairy liquid. Which made a little difference. Does anyone recommend anyway of removing the stains? Thanks in advance

Hi try using some brick acid slightly watered down make sure you wear goggles and gloves
This might help
This might be efflorescence or salt petering
Is a crystalline salty deposit with a white or off white colour that can form on the surfaces
Of bricks masonry or concrete moisture is present to turn salts into soluble state
Any salt must be able to transfer through the material to the surface
This is why you can see a white or off white staining
