New patio level with dpc

Anonymous user 14 June 2021 - 4.22 AM

Hi I am getting new patio done which looks like it will just be level with the dpc. They have not yet laid down the concrete and I can see the dpc, shall I just paint below the dpc and above dpc with bitumen?

If the fall on the patio is heading towards the house the safest option would be to put an aco drain between the wall and patio. And then paint 150mm above the finished patio level.

Hi can I ask the reason for the patio being laid level with the dpc? Finished paving should be a minimum of 2 brick courses bellow the dpc.

In all cases try to keep the patio 150mm below the DPM. Try to have the slope away from the house .
