Gas Works

there is a 13 amp socket behind my gas cooker

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.40 PM

Hi my gas cooker has been removed, revealing a double 13 amp socket directly behind it, with cables not chased into the wall. The socket is below the height of the cooker. Will this contravene regulations for placing another cooker there? I am currently deciding between replacing gas cooker which means removing cooker hood as it is too low for gas or wiring for an electric cooker, which will likely be costly.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You could always get the socket moved or done away with.
