Repointing to front of house

Hi, I want to remove cement strap pointing on stone facade at front of house to lime render as stone looks to be eroding. Also need all the guttering renewed. Do I renew guttering first before repointing or after pointing is done.? Thank's

your guttering is less likely to get damaged if you carryout the re pointing first

I personally would do it all at the same time eg take the old off then point or render if the weather is on your side then on with the new better finish and you won’t be paying for scaffolding twice.

Have the guttering done first at least the highest point is done and nothing will leak and drip down on your new repointing work or anyone's face whilst working then do repoint face work. You can lower the scaffolding lifts if needed.
