Potterton Suprima 50L boiler replacement

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.40 PM

We have 12 y.o. Potterton Suprima 50L boiler, which is currently fitted in the kitchen low level cabinet. The boiler is working fine but we are planning to replace our old kitchen and consulted a plumber to ascertain if should this boiler goes wrong it will be possible to replace it with an alternative in the same position (undercounter). Two independent plumbers are telling us that there is no such option on the market any longer and any replacement will have to be fitted above the counter (at eye level). The cupboard is only 90cm tall from floor to the surface for everything, boiler flue, pipes, filter I am not a plumber and would appreciate you guys advice. Thanks Alexandra

Hello Alexandra I have looked at the previous advice and offer my opinion. You would be unlikely to replace with a Worcester floor standing boiler due to cost and you only need a very low output boiler. Installing a wall mounted boiler in a 90cm high cupboard would not meet any current regulations. Your options could be a high level boiler in a cupboard or moving the boiler to another location Wish you well Dave
