Soil and waste pipe routes to sewer

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.42 PM

Curiosity question Does the soil and waste pipes from the house connect together underground? Do the two lead into the same sewer or will they lead separately?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

They come out the house separately but go into the same manhole outside the building

There is no way no know for sure unless you got an inspection done but usually all the pipes from your house will join to 1 single pipe that will then head into the mains sewer/septic tank

Soil and waste are the same thing and can be all in the same pipe run, but don't mix storm water, unless it's allowable in your situation
