800 x 800 porcelain floor tiles

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.42 PM

I have bought 800 x 800 porcelain tiles, they are really heavy!! they are awkward to handle and I'm a bit concerned when it comes to laying them, what is the best way to go about this please. I've got all the adhesive and grout but I just need the best method of laying and cutting . Thank you

Get a professional tiler in to lay these. If the floor is not prepped properly they will look awful if laid incorrectly.

Using a Grabo is really helpful. It allows you to manoeuvre the tiles much easier but they do cost around £200. A good, experienced tiler that has done lots of work with large format tiles should be employed for the best possible result though.

The way and method of gluing depends on what exactly is to be tiled. The glue should be chosen by the tiler, not by the seller. Cutting - kaufman 150. You have to check the quality of the tiles and adjust the method to the surface. Find a tiler who has laid such large tiles before, conclude a contract, money by bank transfer, guarantee and insurance.
