Room separators. What is best? And who would fit?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.42 PM

I have an open plan downstairs which has living room, kitchen and dining room. I want to separate with folding doors or sliding between the rooms. Advice on what is best rather than putting walls back up? If I choose doors then would I buy and find someone to install? Who is best? Or are there companies who sell and fit? Thank you!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Judy, You could either have your doors made to measure, then attach runners to the floor / ceiling (depending on how you would want to fit and costs etc). Or you could buy off the shelf and build walls to suit. Hope this helps Ben.

Hello there. Ideally choose the doors you like prior but listen to advice regarding suitability. A decent joiner would be the safest option. But get some recommendations first not just photos of past work..photos don't tell the full story. It's important that the builder is very flexible and responds to your requests before, during, and after the completion. Price isn't a guarantee of quality either....far from it..
