It is possible that a bathroom fitter would have the experience to remove part of a load bearing wall but most probably wouldn’t. It is far more likely that you will find a general builder who can fit bathrooms. You really need some advice from someone who is able to stand in the house and look at the job so I would post the job on MyBuilder and you should get responses from people capable of taking on the work Hope this helps Doug

Get them both there. Firstly, you need a master plan, then set a budget Then you need the experts to tell you what's possible under these two parameters. Prepare to have your plan amended, unless you have deep pockets, in which case, anything us theoretically possible.

You need a builder first then the bathroom fitter.

It all depends on the current construction of the wall. If it’s solid brick or block then I would suggest getting a structural engineer or qualified builder to take a look. They will tell you whether it’s load bearing and how to deal with in. If it’s a stud wall Ie timber and plasterboard then a good bathroom fitter could take it down and rebuild. If this is the case then the wall would be taken down while ripping out the old bathroom. Put up the new wall and plaster before refitting the new bathroom. Depending on whether there are electrics in the original wall that need to be moved you may also require an electrician. Your bathroom fitter could arrange both a plasterer and electrician.
