Removing internal sliding (patio?) doors
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.42 PM
In my house there is what looks like a patio sliding door between the kitchen and living room. How easy would these be to remove? Which trade should i contact to do that (along woth disposal)? How likely 8s there to be support issues if they're removed, i think it was a gap before the doors were fitted? Thanks!
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Donna
If you get a window company in they can remove and dispose for you.
If there was a window there before there should be a lintel in place
When the window company comes to remove the door they should be able to check to see if a lintel is in place.

If you look on head/top of frame there will be either a seal or possibly a trim remove some of that and poke inside to feel for lintel
Removing it is easy.
Any decent window fitter can remove them in no time
