Is it possible to lift Indian Sandstone, level base, then re lay slabs?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.42 PM

I had an Indian Sandstone patio laid and a not happy with the results, the patio is not level and dips in certain areas. Is it possible to lift the slabs, level the base, and relay the slabs? Thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes this is possible, but can be time co aiming and still a bit costly, will most likely have to dig out all the sand and cement it was laid on and completely start again from your hardcore base. You may break a couple to start taking it up, but all in all should come up ok, depending on how they were laid. Hope this helps

Yes it can't be done but very time consuming especially if it's been primed well... Be sure to allow for breakage also.
