Black jack floor issue

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.23 PM

We have put blackjack on our floor and ply on top then laminate and can’t get rid of crunching sound when walking on it. Any ideas how to stop this?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Get a professional flooring company to investigate would be my advise. The blackjack/ply/laminate “cake” is a very odd way of doing things.

It seems Avery odd way of laying a floor? The only answer could be poor adhesion between the layers I.e not glued up properly which causes the crunching sound Best advice I can give is get a professional floor fitter in to asses what’s the best remedy

Ply is to be fitting on top of a wooden subfloor, latex is to used on a concrete subfloor. It would all need to be uplifted and a latex smoothing compound put down not ply.
