height ALLOWED FOR LEAN TO CANOPY ALONG BOUNDARY FENCE

NEIGHBOUR HAS DECKING WITH A HOT TUB AND CANOPY PERGOLA AGAINST THE BOUNDARY FENCE BECAUSE OF PRIVACY AND THE CANOPY I PUT 8FT FENCE ON MY OWN POSTS BUT THE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER WAS CALLED,WOULD I BE ABLE TO ADD A LEAN TO SLOPING ROOF PERGOLA ALONG THE BOUNDARY AS THE HEIGHT FOR A PERGOLA IS 8FT. I NEED SOMETHING AND HAVE JUST PAID £700 FOR A FENCE

As a general rule any thing over 2 meters will need planning permission. you could consider plants that grow over 2 meters. bamboo is a good one to use.

Well long in on your Boundary
I would get Planning permission if more then 2meter you need get check

It’s a hard one to answer to be fair as for any structure over a certain height would need playing permission or would have to go with building regulation and I’m sure that a 8ft fence is something you would have to get building regulation and offices to agree with and sign off the best bet I’d say would be to see if the neighbours had got permission to put there pergola up Becoz I’m sure they would of had to Becoz of the height it was going to end up at
