Attach a hairdryer hook to a cabinet door?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.38 PM

Hi - how can a guitar wall mount type of hook (to be used for a hair dryer) be attached to a cabinet door? The door is relatively thin so screws seem would easily go through to the other side. Also to note: There is a board inside the of the cabinet that drops down 4" in front to hide the basin so something over-the-door would need to drop quite a bit. Suggestions? Thank you!

Shorter stubby screws and or epoxy glue. There are some adhesive 3M tape pads you could use too, have a look on Amazon. You just need to make sure you have as much surface contact as you can.

Depends on a lot of different factors, but in case you have a big clean and flat surface, plus the hair dryer is not too heavy than you can glue it on. Otherwise if you pre-drilled and screwed it, you can always sand the excess down from the other side and paint it over, but that seemes to be a bit of an overdo...
