What is this material is called and can it be used for Fascias?

Hi Experts, We have a small section of render at the top the window, it was dropped off + bricks when a window was replaced. (https://photos.app.goo.gl/pgGNYrR9xzGoWqWg6) As the installer cant do rendering, he suggested to install some Fascias as a quick solution + insulation material. 1) As we dont have anything behind, except some timbers sticking out, is it possible to install cladding ? (htps://photos.app.goo.gl/kgS7Ekf8FrQDZc3w5e.) 2) Comparing this material with 18 mm rhino bull nose board, which one is better ? 3) What could be done alternative to render ? It may be too late to change now, but may be a lesson for me in the future. Many thanks

All window fitters repair render its part of the job . I have spent hours of my life repairing render around windows . He is trying to get out of it as it would take time and he cannot be bothered. I suggest to him you get someone to render it and send him a bill .

It’s the fitters job to repair the damage to the render. He just can’t be bothered.
