Radiator installation

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.42 PM

Hi there, Just wanted to check what height a radiator should be installed. My guy has done the kitchen radiator too low so now it's difficult to get under and clean skirting board. Ideally I would prefer it to be to slightly above skirting board and just below the window seal. This is so that skirting board can be dusted down when they get dirty. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance 👍

Minimum height off floor is a 100ml, or alternatively 50ml off the top of Skirting Board.

I tend to measure in mm not ml gets you less wet! And to your question it is up to the customer the installer should have asked you the height you would like the radiator. That’s what I do with my customers.

There is no minimum or maximum height radiators are fitted aesthetically and normally heights agreed with customer before installation.

I prefer to fit mine at 150 above floor level, but recently more customers are asking me to fit them around 200.
