Bathroom Fitting

best way to hang a cabinet on a half-tiled wall

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.22 PM

I am moving into a recently refurbished house, and the wall in the bathroom has tiles only covering the bottom half or so of the wall. If I wanted to hang a cabinet above the sink, its bottom part would sit against the tiles, but there would be a gap between the wall and top half of the cabinet. How do I solve this issue? Is there something that I could buy which is a few millimetres thick that can fit in between the cabinet and the wall - or are there better solutions?

if you fix the cabinet with two screws and use the holders built into the cabinet, then you need to pull two screws 2-3mm to the wall.

Most units are sold with adjustable fixing bracket that allow you to pair off the eventual uneven wall. Normally you always have around 7-10mm to play with.
