Unfortunately will not fade away. Only option is to relay patio on 50mm full mortar mix bed.

The dots should weather and disappear in time, provided the sandstone was not sealed. Could try an efflorescence cleaner to speed up the process

Unfortunately. The sandstone has been compromised and should have been layed on a full bed sharp sand/cement mix also a back slurry should be applied to back of slabs.
