Smell from newly renovated house

Hi there we recently gutted an old house that had been vacant for about 2 years and had a damp old house smell in it. We took everything out floors doors furniture kitchen bathrooms etc painted the house twice changed windows etc and there is still an old smell in the house and now i think its coming from the floors. Its a bungalow and we have put vents in every room etc but nothing seems to get rid of the smell please help? Many thanks
