Disconnect rcd and electrical supply to log cabin prior to dismantling?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.38 PM

Hi, I want to sell my log cabin which has an rcd fitted. Armoured cable is under the driveway and comes up out the ground and fed into the house. What needs to be done with electric supply prior to cabin being dismantled? Thanks for any advice.

It needs to be disconnected and made safe preferably by an electrician.

The swa needs to be removed from the supply and made safe! Either cut it down at either end so cannot be reconnected and made live. Warning signs should be put in place suggesting that said cable should not be made live. If you want to keep it for future reference then label and identify the cable an what it does.
