tyrolean rendering

what exactly is tyrolean rendering? what advantages does it have? does it need one or two coats of masonry paint?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

This product was made about 40 years ago it is not on the market now
It was used putting on with a machine
It did not need paint for quite some years until it got grubby

Tyrolean is a cheap, quick, exterior textured wall coating that is normally applied to poor quality surfaces to hide brick or render underneath.
Tyrolean repairs often are needed when the inflexible wall covering cracks over time as it becomes brittle with age.
It is very difficult to paint because it contains plastic,I wouldn't recommend painting.

Tyrolean is still available but is now better known as Cullamix mostly comes in s premixed colour or grey ready to stabalise and decorate with a couple of coats of masonary paint...
