What type of tradesman would remove old silicone and redo it?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.41 PM

I have two rooms in my house which need the silicone taking off from around the window and windowsill and reapplying with new silicone as the old silicone has got quite dirty, is uneven in places and not straight in areas. What type of tradesman would do this kind of small job? I want it done to the best standard it can be done so it looks as neat as possible.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

A general handyman should be more than capable off doing the work for you

If the silicone line is too thick then I suggest you get the inside trimmed ...this is better than just a silicone line and looks a lot neater on the finish. Truthfully it should be caulk not silicone as you can not paint over silicone.

Any window fitter would be able to help, failing that a handy man can. Remove the silicone and use caulk instead.
