advice i would give when it comes to paint paving stones is that there are a few things to consider. The most important is durability. A paint that can’t withstand heavy traffic will peel off quickly. if it is a long lasting and durable seal you are looking for than i would recommend any weather resistant masonary paint you can find many different variants of this but the one if have found to work the best is Ronseal Diamond Hard, if afterwards you feel it necessary due to high foot traffic to add a sealant coat afterwards would be down to you

I would recommend Sandtex masonary paint which is the easiest method and can be bought in many colours and is water based and brushes can wash out to n water

You are planning to walk on this area why would you use masonry paint that is meant for walls
You would be best to use a garage flor paint available in a limited range of colours Dulux do a good one but do not use a clear one followed by a colour use the coloured one direct to the floor and put on two coats this will last a long time and can be re-coated in the future
