Hi, yes it is ok to purchase a hob and oven elsewhere as all integrated ovens are installed into 600mm wide cabinets and all hobs will fit into every worktop depth, whether that be 600mm, 630mm, 650mm or 900mm. The only thing you need to be certain of is that the oven height is suitable for installation under the worktop if that’s where you intended it to go. This is due to some taller type ovens being suitable for a tall housing cabinet.

You can purchase appliances and kitchen units from different suppliers. Need to get manufactory specifications from appliances shops and check if respect the safety standard specially if it is a gas hob or oven. After that need to check, in terms of dimensions, if appliances will fit in the unit and worktop hole size for hob.

Most hob cut outs are 560mmx490mm so take that into consideration if replacing into an existing worktop. Also consider the thickness of the worktop as some hobs are quite deep and require trimming of the front rail of the unit. Most integrated single ovens will fit and the majority need a 6mm space so the door doesn’t contact the panel below it, again most double ovens fit but in some cases I.e. putting a double oven under a hob that is meant for a tall larder unit may require removing the unit completely as they come with a pair of rails for the sides and a pair for the oven to sit on. Also consider the gas pipe location for hob if it’s gas as it can foul the rear of the oven.
