Kitchen Fitting

Hob and sink not straight at angle what should I do?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.20 PM

Hi, I’m currently having a kitchen installed (still being fitted) the hob and sink were fitted yesterday and they have not been installed straight they are at an angle and don't run parallel to the edge of the worktop they are both half a centimetre off at least. Should I mention it and can it be rectified? Thanks ***UPDATE*** Thanks everyone I told the fitter this morning and he has rectified it thank you all for your help

Yes you should definitely mention it, and if any costs are incurred in straightening it then that, frankly, is his problem not yours.

Hello, first, I would like to express my sympathy for your concern. I would advise you if you find something that deviates from your expectations to address it directly to your fitter. Certainly the asymmetrical arrangement of hob and sink should not be accepted. Your filter should offer a solution to the issue, and this should not involve additional payment on your part.
