Washing Machine inlet hoses won’t connect

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.59 PM

Hi, I’ve just bought a second hand washing machine which comes with a hot and cold inlet hose and they will not connect to the two taps. I can not remove the gold part - is there an adapter I need to buy or someway to fix it? Thank you

Hi. If you are not very practical I think that in your case you need a plumber because a double hose must be added in here you have to connect or add the washing machine for both hot and cold water.

The taps where the washing machines will need to connect to should be of the same sized thread normally 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch. Unfortunately I am unable to see the pictures you provided but the sizes and connections should be universal. I hope this helps.

Have you tried further up behind and underneath the sink, behind the waste trap, the outlets should be there.

Sounds like you need some valves teeing to the pipe work to accommodate that I would advise a plumber to do this for you.
