Can I service an electric oven plus hob plus water heater on the same 10mm cable

I currently have a 10mm cable servicing my electric hob and oven both of which are 3kw each. I need to connect a 9.5kw water heater under the sink for hot water . Can I spur some 10mm cable off to run the water heater on the same circuit.Total load would be around 16kw. Running a separate cable might not be a viable option due to the difficulty of getting a new cable to to where I need it. Thanks in advance.

Might be difficult, but I doubt it’s impossible to run a new cable in. As that is what you need. You can’t just Spur off of what you have in this case.

No you cannot! The 9.5kw water heater would need the 10mm supply on its own and you’ll need a new 6mm cable for the hob and oven supplies! I would probably run another 2.5mm to use for the oven and then they would all have their own dedicated supply, the hob would then have room for upgrade in the future.

Keep the existing arrangements. They are completely fine. You would need a new circuit to connect your 9.5kW water heater. Please DON'T spur off the existing circuit. It will be unsafe and may cause a fire. And don't 'guess' the cable size. get an electrician to design it. There is always a way of getting cables to where they need to go. Its not an excuse to bodge if its difficult.

As the water heater is 9.5 kw you should definitely install a new separate circuit for this as its a heavy electrical load. Any other solution would not be good installation practice and could lead to overload of the existing cables
