Planning permission for reducing the size of a window?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.39 PM

Hello, I am thinking having my bathroom designed. It is a very small bathroom measuring 1.94m x 1.34m and has a large window measuring 1.18m x 1.06m facing the side of the property. My redesign would require the window to be replaced by a much smaller size window to accommodate a shower tray. Would i need planning permission to replace a large window with a smaller one?

Simple answer no you do not need planning permission to reduce size of window unless property is a listed building that then changes things

Planning not required. However there are regs governing the size of the window.
